IPS officer Charu Sinha has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir. He has been made Inspector General (IG, IG) of four zones of his Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the southern sector of the paramilitary force in Hyderabad. With this, Charu has become the first woman officer of the country to serve as IG of CRPF. Charu was serving in Jammu and Kashmir before Hyderabad.
