The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert regarding the scorching heat in Bihar, Bengal and Andhra Pradesh. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has predicted heat wave in Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and Sikkim. On Monday, the condition of heat wave remained in Punjab and Haryana. Schools have been closed in many states due to the extreme heat.
