Due to rain and landslides at various places in Uttarakhand on Monday, traffic was blocked on many routes. In view of the Met department's forecast of heavy rains, the state police has requested people to avoid traveling to the mountains unless absolutely necessary. In the latest forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, out of 13 districts of the state – Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Pauri An alert has been issued for heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in , Dehradun, Tehri and Chamoli on Tuesday.
