Punjab and Haryana witnessed cold weather yesterday with Bathinda being the coldest place in the region. According to the report of the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Bathinda of Punjab was 0.6 degree Celsius, which is five degrees below normal. Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Pathankot, Faridkot and Gurdaspur recorded minimum temperatures of 3.3 degrees, 6.8 degrees, 5.7 degrees, six degrees, 1.4 degrees and five degrees Celsius, respectively. The minimum temperature in Amritsar was one degree below normal.
