The Meteorological Department told that after snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu-Kashmir, the cold has increased in Madhya Pradesh due to cold winds coming from there. Orange alert has been issued for moderate to dense fog for the next 24 hours in Bhopal, Chambal, Rewa, Narmadapuram and Sagar divisions. Apart from these, orange alert has also been issued for moderate to dense fog in Indore, Jabalpur, Anuppur, Katni, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Neemuch, Khandwa, Jhabua, Dhar, Ratlam and Burhanpur districts. There is a possibility of cold wave at some places in Gwalior, Chhatarpur and Datia districts.
