After Telangana, Prime Minister Modi reached Tamil Nadu, where political turmoil has been raging in recent times. Governor RN Ravi had recently kicked up a political storm by calling the anti-Sterlite protests by the people of 2018 foreign-funded. Sterlite’s performance was completely foreign funded, the governor had said on a question about violation of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) during an event at the Raj Bhavan in Chennai. There was funding for the entire activities that led to the protests and the unfortunate police firing that resulted in the loss of innocent lives.
