Heavy rains left a trail of destruction The scene has been abandoned, property worth crores has been ruined and the fields have been submerged. In the last three days in Punjab, about thousand people have been evacuated from waterlogged areas to safer places. People have been evacuated from Patiala, Rupnagar, Moga, Ludhiana, Mohali, SBS Nagar and Fatehgarh Sahib districts. State Disaster Management Team, NDRF and various government departments with the help of Army are engaged in relief and rescue operations.
