The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) said that they had received information about some incidents where some school students in the state were being forced to dress up as Santa Claus for Christmas celebrations. VHP said that this is an attack on Hindu culture. Hindu children can be dressed as Rama, Krishna, Gautam Buddha, Mahavira, Guru Gobind Singh, but not as Santa. India is the land of saints, not of Santa. Vishwa Hindu Parishad said that all schools are requested not to allow Hindu children to be admitted without prior permission of the parents. Do not dress up as Santa Claus and if any school does so, VHP will protest against the concerned school. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad had recently objected to Telangana Health Director G Srinivasa Rao's remark that Jesus Christ ended Covid and demanded his resignation. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad demanded the resignation of the Director of Health, Srinivasa Rao Gadala. Also said that his statement has hurt the sentiments of majority of Hindus. He has insulted all the Gods and Goddesses of Hinduism. The VHP demanded from Telangana Chief Minister KCR that Health Minister Harish Rao should be removed from his post. On the other hand, Srinivasa Rao clarified that his statement was misrepresented and in his speech he said That covid has been defeated due to the initiative of the government, cooperation of all health workers and prayers of people of all religions. ,
