A purported video of Uttarakhand’s Cabinet Minister Premchand Agarwal, his security guard (gunner) and some others thrashing a man Has circulated on social media. However, Agarwal, who is in charge of the Finance and Legislative Affairs Ministry in the state, has defended his act. Aggarwal said that apart from abusing him, the man assaulted him and tore his kurta and the uniform of his security guard, due to which he was thrashed. He said- FIR will also be lodged in the matter as it is an attack on the government machinery. The incident took place in Aggarwal’s assembly constituency Rishikesh, but someone from a roadside shop made a video of it in his mobile phone.
