After the meeting, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh tweeted, "26 The demand for 'India' with parties is very clear. The Prime Minister should make a statement in both the Houses of Parliament on the appalling and tragic developments in Manipur since May 3, 2023 and then there should be a discussion. On the other hand, Congress MPs Manish Tewari, Manickam Tagore and some other opposition MPs gave notices of adjournment on Thursday, demanding a discussion on the Manipur issue in both the Houses of Parliament. Lok Sabha member Tiwari demanded a discussion in the House and said that apart from giving information about the situation in Manipur, the government should also tell what measures have been taken to restore peace.
