The dance started with the raag Charukeshi, composed by Pandit Gopal Panda, choreographed by Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra and invoking Durga Stuti composed in a rhythm, gave the message of women empowerment and environmental protection. This was followed by a mesmerizing rendition of Nibaddha Batu in Raga Mohana. The students were very happy to have the ODC dancer in their midst. Even though the lyrics of the dance were Oriya, the students could easily understand the language of the dance. Because communication is more important than language in dance. While summarizing the program, young ODC dancer Shantashree performed her performance very beautifully depicting various forms of Lord Shiva danced by Guru Rosalina Mahapatra. Demonstrated capability. Initially the guests were welcomed by the hostel superintendents Sophie Singh and Karan Sharma respectively.
