Four students living in Subhash Nagar, Sindhi Colony, Ujjain were extorted by half a dozen miscreants of Nilganga police station area. For this, on Monday evening, he ran and got beaten up. Four students, Rahul Singh, Kamal Singh, Virendra Singh and Govind Singh, who were doing nursing training at Ujjain’s district hospital from Jhalawar in Rajasthan, were chased and thrashed on the road by regional gangsters Kanha, Vishal Maratha and four of their other accomplices. Injured student Rahul Singh told that he is studying nursing at Saraswati College, Ujjain and goes to the district hospital every day for training. On Monday evening, when the four returned home after training from the district hospital, the miscreants of the area stopped them on the way and asked for money, on refusing they started fighting. But when we protested against the beating, they took out the rods and beat them. When we ran in panic, these goons chased us for half a kilometer and beat us while running. The students were so scared of these goons that they kept sitting at the Nilganga police station. The police have registered a case against the goons in this case under the section of extortion 327.
