Children who died due to drowning in the pond – Photo: Amar Ujala Expansion Some villagers were searching for two children in Kaliyadeh village on Thursday night. When the children came out of the house, they were out for a walk, but when they saw a pond full of water on Ujjain Garoth Marg, both of them went to take a bath keeping their clothes, mobile and slippers on the banks of the pond. The children lost their lives due to not knowing the depth of the pond. When the people of the village reached the pond late at night, seeing the children’s slippers, clothes and mobiles, they guessed that something untoward had happened to the children, after which the police and the administration were informed about it and the police rescued both the children. The bodies have been taken out of the pond. CSP Sachin Parte told that the deceased humble father Jitendra Vishwakarma () and Gopal alias Raghav father Manohar Chowdhary (23) Are. Both are residents of Kaliadeh village. The construction of Ujjain-Garoth road is going on near the village. A pond was excavated on the Panchkroshi Marg to meet the soil requirement on the route. In which Vineet and Gopal left the house in the evening to take bath in it due to water filling. When he did not return, the relatives and villagers started looking for him. Mobile and slippers were kept on the bank of the pond. It was suspected that both were victims of the accident. Sarpanch Azad Patel told that the Gram Panchayat had not given NOC nor issued permission for digging, despite nearly 23 Excavated up to feet depth. A complaint was also made in writing to the Tehsildar on behalf of the panchayat, that the responsible are digging deeper than the prescribed. There is a possibility of an accident.
