Councilor attacked with knife in front of MLA – Photo: Amar Ujala Expansion Ujjain’s BJP councilor Sushil Shriwas had gone to attend a wedding. Due to a dispute over parking there, some people attacked with a knife. According to media reports, BJP MLA Paras Jain was also present at the spot. Allegedly his security personnel intervened. Police is looking for the attackers. The case is Kanha Vatika of Jivajiganj police station area. There the councilor Shrivas of ward number 233 had come to attend a wedding. According to the police, Shrivas had a dispute with some people over parking outside Kanha Vatika. When he was returning after dinner, some people blocked his way at around 10 pm and attacked him with a knife. Srivas has knife wounds in his waist. He was taken to the district hospital. Police say investigation has been expedited to identify the attackers. Nearby CCTV footage is being scrutinised. As soon as the attackers are identified, they will be arrested at the earliest. The police also said that the dispute started over a parking issue. ,
