According to a senior BJP leader, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are also going to visit Tripura on February 7 to take part in the party’s election campaign. Significantly, the polling for the member assembly of Tripura will be held on 36 February. BJP has fielded candidates on 55 seats in the state. Whereas, 5 seats have been left for the ally Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT). In Tripura assembly elections held in 60, BJP won 55 seats, while IPFT candidates were victorious in 8 seats.
