Voting for Tripura Legislative Assembly 42 will be held on February, while counting of votes will be done on March 2. BJP has fielded 43 candidates, while CPI(M) will contest on 43 seat alone. The other constituents of the Left Front – Forward Bloc, RSP and CPI – will field candidates on one seat each. The Congress contesting the elections in alliance with the Left Front has fielded candidates on 15 seat. Tipra Motha has fielded candidates on 43 seats. Whereas 58 independent candidates are also in the fray.
