Voting for Tipra Motha is like not voting: Chief Minister Himanta
Tripura Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma asked people not to waste their votes by voting for the party’s Tipra Motha, while stressing that the BJP would not support the demand for bifurcation of the smaller state. Addressing a rally at Krishnapur in Khowai district in Tripura, BJP leader Sharma said that Tipra Motha cannot form the government in the state under any circumstances. Tipra Motha may win two or four seats in the assembly elections, but it will not be enough to form the government in Agartala or Delhi, he said. It may be noted that the polling for the Tripura Legislative Assembly will be held on 35 February and the counting of votes will be done on March 2.
