In Tripura, Tipra Motha Party chief Pradyot Kishor Manikya Debbarma alleged that a conspiracy is being hatched to create a divide among the workers of the regional party. He also hit out at the state government, claiming that only two per cent of the budgetary expenditure has been allocated for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council.

Many of us want to become vice-president, general secretary, minister or executive member, but if we only think of personal ambitions, what will happen to our next generation?”
Don’t try to ‘blackmail’ – Debbarma Debbarma, who belongs to the royal family of Tripura, also said that he would not allow people to ‘blackmail’ him to get a position in the party. He said, “Many people have spoken to me over phone and demanded a position in the party. He has also threatened me that if I do not accept his demand, he will leave the party. I have told them that if they want to go wherever they want, then go. If they have guts, they should ‘blackmail’ those who replace Kokborok with Bangla script.” Kokborok is a tribal language of Tripura.
)Criticizing the state government for the ‘low’ budget allocation for the Tribal Areas Council, Debbarma asked, “Is this an example of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’?” ) often uses the slogan ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
The party will start agitation for the demand of Tipraland- Debbarma Tripura Finance Minister Pranajit Singh Roy on Friday in the state assembly for the current financial year had presented a budget of Rs. Debbarma assured the ‘tiprasa’ (people of ethnic origin) that he would be with them till death. They said that 15 Tipra Motha will launch an agitation demanding a larger ‘Tipraland’ after the two-day plenary session of the party from July.
