New Delhi, The Supreme Court has commuted the death sentence awarded to Balwant Singh Rajoana to life imprisonment for the murder of the then Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh in 1995 Refused on Wednesday. A bench of Justice BR Gavai, Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sanjay Karol said that the competent authority will decide on the mercy petition of the convict.
