Controversy broke out on social media Before the world famous Kuvagam festival, Jatavath visited the Kuvagam Koothandavar temple to take stock of the preparations for the event. The Kuvagam Festival is celebrated by transgenders across the country and the world. Kallakurichi is situated at a distance of about kilometers from Chennai. While entering the temple, the officer had taken off his shoes and allegedly asked his assistant to pick up the shoes and keep them somewhere else. A controversy erupted after the video of the incident was circulated on social media.
