His elder brother Ashok Rathore (Congress leader and former corporator), father Shankar Rathore and an acquaintance Irfan Pathan were also at the hotel. Then Ranjit Gurjar, a resident of Majhera village, came to the hotel to collect the goods, when asked for the money, he became angry and started abusing. Ranjit Gurjar forcefully took the goods taken from the hotel with him without giving money. After some time Ranjit Gurjar came armed with sticks and rods along with some of his companions and started ransacking the hotel.
