In this respectively 18. ton and .21 Tons of bamboo was loaded. On interrogation of the driver of these vehicles seized near Lalpur airport, the name of the firm selling bamboo in the said truck has been revealed as AK Enterprises Assam and Durga Trading Company Assam respectively. After the seizure of bamboo laden vehicles, OPM management was again talked about depositing market tax but no meaningful response was received from there. Nor did any authorized official of the mill come to the market office to inquire about the seized trucks loaded with bamboo. Mandi's assistant sub-inspector GP Bandhav along with Ramnath Baiga and Ashok Kumar Pandey played a commendable role in the above proceedings. High Court quashed Has filed a petition In relation to the confiscation, the secretary of Mandi Committee, Budhar, Ramesh Lal Vanvasi told that as per rules, payment of mandi tax on bamboo coming from other states outside the state to Madhya Pradesh. There is a provision to do it to the concerned market committee. OPM management buys bamboo from other states but hesitates to pay mandi tax. Earlier OPM petition number /1677602066/ in High Court Jabalpur regarding this Madhya Pradesh government was imposed against. In this, a challenge was raised for not paying market tax on bamboo coming from outside the state. The court had dismissed this petition. After this, from the year 2016 till now, the payment of market tax of lakhs of rupees is coming from outside state. The ones are not being done on bamboo. Not only this, the records of bamboo purchased from other states have also not been presented by the OPM management. Even after correspondence, when the OPM management did not desist from its stubbornness, now the market committee has started the process of confiscating the bamboo trucks coming to OPM from other states. Secretary Banwasi told that another petition of OPM related to this number /750 also dated by the Hon'ble High Court February 2022 has been rejected. An attempt was also made to discuss this with the OPM mill management, but could not talk to any authorized officer.
