Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet a couple working as laborers in Amrit Sarovar being built under MNREGA to save water and increase the water level of the area and discuss the use and benefits of Amrit Sarovar. On the occasion of Independence Day, after hoisting the flag in a program organized at the Red Fort of the country's capital, Delhi, he will meet the MNREGA workers and the members of Amrit Sarovar user groups. The couple Rajesh and Pushpa Meena, who work as laborers in the Amrit Sarovar built in Tankpura village of Ichhawar district, have been selected for this program of the Prime Minister. MNREGA officer Pramod Tripathi said that Amrit Sarovar has been constructed under MNREGA scheme in village Tankpura of Ichhawar district of the district. टांकपुरा में 19 लाख 62 हजार रुपये की लागत से बने इस सरोवर की जल भण्डारण क्षमता लगभग 25 हजार घन मीटर तथा जल ग्रहण क्षेत्र 2.50 एकड़ है। The work has been entrusted to the Krishna Self-Help Group for the use of this Amrit Sarovar. The chairman of the group is Rajesh. The water of the lake will be used to irrigate the land of the farmers around the pond, which will increase their income.
