पुलिस अधीक्षक सीहोर मयंक अवस्थी द्वारा एसडीओपी सीहोर अर्चना अहीर के मार्गदर्शन में थाना प्रभारी बिलकिसगंज एसआई चिन्मय मिश्रा को घटना के बाद से आरोपी शेर सिंह बारेल 26 साल निवासी ग्राम जूनापानी सालीखेड़ा को शीघ्र गिरफ्तारी करने के निर्देश दिए गए। मामले में गठित टीम ने आरोपी की लगातार तलाश कर आरोपी को नीबूखेड़ा स्थित मस्जिद के पास से गिरफ्तार करने में सफलता प्राप्त की। आरोपी से पूछताछ करने पर उसने अपने पिता की हत्या करना स्वीकार किया।
