New Delhi : The Supreme Court on Monday made strong remarks on the issue of forced conversions in India. Hearing the petition of BJP leader and senior advocate Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay, a bench of Justice MR Shah and Justice Hima Kohli said that the issue of forced conversion is very serious. The bench said during the hearing that forced conversion affects the security of the nation and freedom of religion. Earlier, the Supreme Court, during a hearing on last 40 September, on the issue of forced conversions, Issued a notice to the Ministry of Home Affairs and sought an answer.
