Then suddenly there was a fault in the ropeway and the trolleys stopped midway. Due to the failure of the ropeway, the visitors were left hanging in the air. On information about this, the NDRF team reached and the jawans brought down the passengers safely from the trolleys hanging in the air. This scene was done by NDRF and District Disaster Management Authority Satna in Hanuman Dhara on Friday for rescue in ropeway emergency It was a joint mock exercise. During this, along with SDM Majhgawan Jitendra Verma, officers and employees of Revenue, Police, Forest and Health Department were also present. Ropeway operates in Maihar and Chitrakoot in the district. In view of this, NDRF practiced the rescue operation on how to carry out the rescue operation in case of emergency situations in the ropeway. People from the District Disaster Management Authority were also involved in the exercise so that they could provide immediate help in case of emergency. During this, exercises were done to reach the people sitting in the trolleys stuck in the ropeway, to pacify them, to get them down safely, to provide medical help etc. This mockdrill was done under the leadership of Deputy Commandant Prem Kumar Paswan under the direction of Deputy Inspector General Manoj Kumar Sharma. The entire mock drill was conducted under the ‘Incident Response System’. This helped in raising the level of mutual coordination and preparedness and all the departments came to know their respective roles during such emergencies. During this, special attention was paid to the possibility of reducing the impact of the disaster. It was emphasized that the work of disaster management can be done easily only with better coordination of all. NDRF 233 member team participated in the drill. ,
