National Disaster Response Fund : Headed by Home Minister Amit Shah A High Level Committee (HLC) has approved the release of additional Rs 1,08 crore as central assistance to five states including Karnataka to deal with natural calamities. According to an official statement, assistance will be provided to Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Meghalaya and Nagaland in view of incidents of floods, landslides and cloudbursts during 3863926. The HLC, headed by Shah, approved additional central assistance under the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) to five states, the statement said. It states that this shows the resolve of the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help the people of the five states facing natural calamities.
