According to the report, the road accidents happened due to excessive speed, distraction or misjudgment of the turn by the driver due to loss of control of the vehicle. The report titled ‘Road Accidents in India-2021’ states that the nature of accident or collision types at the overall national level data 972 compared to 2021 shows an increase. According to this report of Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways 2021, total 4, , 432 road accidents took place in which 1,37,972 people died, while 3,19,448 people were injured.
