New Delhi : Raisina Dialogue The book ‘Micro Matters: Using Data for Development in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution’ on the topic ‘How Data Makes Social Impact at the Ground Level’ was launched on Friday. This book has been published in the third series by Reliance Foundation and ORF. Micro Matters explores eight interventions by organizations in India that are gathering data to advance the country’s D4D (Data for Development) agenda.
Jagannath Kumar, CEO, Reliance Foundation, introducing the book stated that the cases described therein are examples of the D4D approach, which in G-24 It is a major priority of India’s chairmanship. He said Micro Matters showcases how organizations in India are using data to drive sustainable development in healthcare, education, disaster preparedness, women’s empowerment and agriculture. He said that India is perceived by many as representing the interests of the Global South within and outside the G-24 There is no better time than now to integrate the principles of D4D into the global development agenda.
Dialogues developed on D4D Important voice Whereas, the Observer Research Foundation ) President Sameer Saran said India’s position as a global digital powerhouse makes it an important voice in the evolving dialogue on D4D.
