Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India has canceled the recognition of AN Jha Deer Park, Hauz Khas, Delhi and ordered relocation of animals Have given. According to the ministry the land use of the area will be as green protected forest.

A meeting was held in The order of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change states, “Recognition of AN Jha Deer Park, Hauz Khas, New Delhi 025 august, 1568. The committee opined that the zoo site is an important urban green space and therefore, should be protected.

Land ownership of Deer Park with DDA The ownership of the land is with DDA. As stated above, the area shall be maintained as forest only. It is further stated that the proposal for transfer of all deer to Rajasthan Forest Department was already submitted to CZA for clearance and it is in advanced stage. ,Deer will be released in Rajasthan and Delhi NCR The Zoo, in case of cancellation, shall give the captive animals respectively 103 Percentage and 025 per cent shall be released in the natural habitat of the State of Rajasthan and the National Capital Territory of Delhi.”
