Intermittent thunderstorms in Damoh district since Monday morning. The rainy season continued. It started raining with thunder in the afternoon. The upper portion of three tailoring shops located in Damoh’s Topi Line collapsed. Fortunately, there was no loss of life in this accident, but a scooty and a bicycle parked outside the shop got buried under the debris.

While giving the information, the shop tenant told that the building was dilapidated. In this, three people had opened different tailoring shops. The shingles on the upper part of the shop had been separated long ago by the shop owner, due to which the wall and outer part of the shop have collapsed due to rain water.

The municipal administration did not identify dilapidated houses and shops and get them repaired or vacated on time, as a result of which the walls of three shops collapsed. Sundar Lodhi, who had gone to pluck mangoes in Murach village of Gesabad police station, died on the spot after a gaz fell on him.
