The Judi river, which originated from the Batiagarh area, came in spate after the rains on Saturday, due to which the Damoh-Chhatarpur road was closed. Similarly, the Sunar river originating from the Patharia block also started flowing above the Belkhedi bridge and the Damoh-Patharia road was closed. Due to incessant rains since Friday night in Batiagarh block, the river-drain has come in spate, due to which traffic has been affected. After this, the period of rain continued from Saturday morning and the Judi river came in spate. Water started flowing over the bridge, due to which the Damoh-Chhatarpur road remained closed. However, the bypass has been constructed here. That’s why big vehicles were leaving the bypass towards Chhatarpur and Damoh. As soon as the information about water on the bridge came, the police staff from Pathariya police station reached the spot and stopped the people from leaving. An appeal was made to the people that no one should try to cross the river when there is water on the bridge. Duty of policemen has also been imposed on the bridge. ,
