) Ranjit Savarkar, grandson of VD Savarkar, also lashed out at Uddhav Thackeray and Sanjay Raut on Rahul Gandhi’s statement. He said, Uddhav Thackeray and Sanjay Raut personally respect Savarkar a lot…but they should go ahead and ask Rahul Gandhi to apologize for his statements on Savarkar. Referring to Balasaheb Thackeray, he said, on the insult of Savarkar, Balasaheb had said, I will hit such people with shoes. Savarkar’s grandson said- I am not asking to hit the shoes, but on this statement Uddhav Thackeray should leave the Congress. Sanjay Raut and Uddhav Thackeray may have respect for Savarkar, but unless they show their support for Savarkar, it doesn’t mean anything. Congress didn’t stop even after giving ultimatum and they (Uddhav Thackeray faction) still haven’t separated Congress.
