Before the yatra enters Jammu and Kashmir, there will be a party rally in Pathankot on January. Gandhi will cover a distance of 25 kilometers by walking for three hours each in the morning and evening. The yatra, which began on September 7 from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu , will end in Srinagar by January, where Gandhi will hoist the national flag in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. This padyatra has so far passed through Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
