Opposition parties protest against Rahul’s disqualification, wearing black clothes
MPs from the Congress and several other opposition parties protested against the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi from the Lok Sabha and demanded the setting up of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) in the matter related to the Adani Group. MPs of Congress and some other allies wore black clothes to protest against the action taken against Rahul Gandhi. The opposition leaders first staged a sit-in in the Parliament complex and then took out a march till Vijay Chowk. Congress Parliamentary Party chief Sonia Gandhi, party president Mallikarjun Kharge, several Congress MPs, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) KTR Balu, Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) in this dharna given in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Parliament House Complex K NK Premachandran and some other leaders attended.
