धार्मिक नगरी उज्जैन इन दिनों श्री शिवाय नमस्तुभ्यं के मंत्र से गुंजायमान हो रही है। कथा स्थल पर ‘सीहोर वाले पंडित जी की जय’ के नारे लगाए जा रहे हैं। कथा स्थल पर पंडाल में जगह न मिलने पर भी श्रद्धालु धूप में खड़े होकर शिव महापुराण कथा का सुन रहे हैं। लेकिन बहुत ही कम लोग जानते हैं कि कुछ वर्षों पहले सीहोर वाले पंडित प्रदीप मिश्रा की इतनी प्रसिद्धि नहीं थी। इसके पहले भी पंडित प्रदीप मिश्रा उज्जैन में एक बार नानीबाई का मायरा और चार बार शिव महापुराण की कथा का श्रवण शहरवासियों को करवा चुके हैं। लेकिन अब उनके लाखों अनुयायी हैं जो कि वर्तमान में प्रतिदिन उनकी कथा का श्रवण पंडाल के साथ ही घर पर टीवी के जरिए भी कर रहे हैं।

इन दिनों सीहोर वाले पंडित प्रदीप मिश्रा का एक फोटो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हो रहा है। उसमें उनके साथ श्रद्धालुओं की भीड़ तो नहीं है लेकिन समाजसेवी श्रवण शर्मा उन्हें पुष्पहार पहनाकर उनका स्वागत जरूर कर रहे हैं। वहीं, उनके साथ शहर के समाजसेवी केतन माहेश्वरी भी हैं जो कि पंडित प्रदीप मिश्रा से श्रवण शर्मा का परिचय करवा रहे हैं।

इस फोटो को लेकर जब श्रवण शर्मा से चर्चा की गई तो उनका कहना था कि वर्ष 2018 में समाजसेवी केतन माहेश्वरी की ओर से एक शिव महापुराण का आयोजन उज्जैन में किया गया था। उस समय गुदरी चौराहा पर निकले जुलूस के दौरान मैंने बग्गी में सवार पंडित प्रदीप मिश्रा का पुष्पहार पहनाकर स्वागत किया था।

इस बारे में केतन माहेश्वरी ने बताया कि साल 2003 में पंडित प्रदीप मिश्रा नानी बाई का मायरा करने उज्जैन में आए थे। उसे माहेश्वरी समाज ने आयोजित किया था। इसके बाद माहेश्वरी महिला मंडल की ओर से दो बार आयोजित की गई शिव महापुराण कथा, समाजसेवी ओमप्रकाश भावसार द्वारा बिल्केश्वर धाम बड़नगर रोड पर आयोजित शिव महापुराण कथा और महाकाल मंडपम में साल 2019 में गोपाल मंदिर के पुजारी पंडित राम पाठक द्वारा आयोजित की गई शिव महापुराण कथा करने भी पंडित प्रदीप मिश्रा उज्जैन आए थे। इस कथा के मुख्य यजमान गोपाल मंदिर के पुजारी पंडित राम पाठक ही थे। कुछ साल पहले पंडित प्रदीप मिश्रा द्वारा की जाने वाली शिव महापुराण की कथा और आज की जा रही कथा काफी अंतर है। अब लाखों श्रद्धालु सिर्फ और सिर्फ उनकी कथा सुनने पहुंचते हैं। माहेश्वरी ने कहा कि यह देखकर कहा जा सकता है कि बाबा महाकाल ने ही पंडित प्रदीप मिश्रा का भाग्य उज्जवल कर दिया।
