सम्मेलन के पहले सत्र में पूर्व सरसंघचालक भैय्याजी जोशी ने अपनी बात रखी। उन्होंने कहा कि संस्कृति, भाषा और संस्कार को संभालने की जिम्मेदारी के साथ समाज की जिम्मेदारी कुरीतियों को रोकने की भी है। समाज में कुछ टेढ़े लोग भी होते हैं, जो समाज का भला नहीं चाहते। उन्हें भी रोकना चाहिए।

भैय्याजी ने कहा कि महाराष्ट्र को लोकमान्य तिलक, वीर सावरकर और गोपाल कृष्ण गोखले जैसे महापुरुषों ने पहचान दी है। शिवाजी ने देश विरोधी ताकतों को पैरों के नीचे रखा। महाराष्ट्र सामाजिक परिवर्तन वाला प्रदेश है। महाराष्ट्र की संत परंपरा की इसमें बड़ी भूमिका रही है।

सम्मेलन में अलग-अलग प्रदेशों से आए लोगों ने भी अपनी बातें रखी। सम्मेलन में पूर्व लोकसभा स्पीकर सुमित्रा महाजन, मेयर पुष्यमित्र भार्गव भी मौजूद थे।

सावरकर को भारत रत्न दिए जाने के लगे नारे
हॉल में जब उपमुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फड़णवीस पहुंचे तो लोगों ने नारे लगाए कि वीर सावरकर को भारत रत्न मिलना चाहिए। मंडल के अध्यक्ष मिलिंद महाजन ने कहा कि हम वीर सावरकर के बारे में अनर्गल बातें नहीं सुन सकते। वे भारत रत्न के हकदार हैं। सम्मेलन में समाज जनों का सम्मान भी किया गया।
