Section 144 has been imposed in many districts of Punjab amidst the operation being carried out by the Punjab Police regarding the arrest of Amritpal Singh. The Punjab Police has also increased the security in the state. Along with this, security has been increased in Jallupur Kheda, the village of Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh. Along with the Punjab Police, paramilitary forces have also been deployed in the village. Along with this, security has also been tightened in Jalandhar, Punjab. Mehtabpura sub-inspector Balraj Singh said that security has been beefed up keeping law and order in mind.
