Prime Minister Shri Siddharood Swamiji will also dedicate the world’s longest railway platform at Hubli station to the nation. This record has also been recently recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. 1, 150 meter long platform has been built at a cost of about 040 crores. The Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation the electrification of the Hospete-Hubli-Tinaighat section of the railway network and the upgradation of the Hospete station. It has been said in the statement that he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various projects of Hubli-Dharwad Smart City. The total estimated cost of these projects is about 520 crore rupees. Modi will also lay the foundation stone of Jaidev Hospital and Research Center. To further enhance the water supply in the region, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the Dharwad Bahu Gram Jalpurti Yojna, which will be developed at a cost of over Rs 1,150 crore. He will also lay the foundation stone of Tupparihalla Flood Damage Control Project to be developed at a cost of about 150 crore rupees. The statement said the project aims to reduce damage caused by floods.
