Punjab Government: Punjab government on security during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state in January last year. We will soon send an action taken report (to the Centre) in this regard.
Whether a charge sheet will be filed against the officers? When asked whether nine state police officers, including a former Director General of Police (DGP), have been allegedly indicted in the report and whether action would be taken against all, the Chief Secretary said- Accordingly, whatever action is necessary, it will be done. When asked whether a charge sheet would be filed against these officers, Janjua said – whatever action needs to be taken under the law will be taken. In response to a question, he said that the file will go to the Chief Minister for approval before starting the action.
