The Ministry of External Affairs, in association with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and the Government of Goa, will organize the International Lusophone Festival in Goa from 3-6 December. According to the statement of the Ministry of External Affairs, Goa has historical relations with Lusophone countries which have been nurtured by the presence of Portuguese cultural institutions like Orient Foundation, Camoes Institute. These institutions promote Portuguese language and culture in India.

The ministry has said in its statement that this has strengthened cultural cooperation and people-to-people contacts with the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP). The Ministry said that the Ministry of External Affairs, in association with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and the Government of Goa, will organize the International Lusophone Festival in Goa from December 3-6.

It has been told that the International Lusophone Festival will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pramodi Sawant at the Raj Bhavan in Goa on December 3. Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi will be the chief guest at the event. ,International Lusophone Festival twitter

In this program, a group of artists and volunteers will conduct workshops on Lusophone music. Apart from this, a special presentation will be organized on the heritage of Goa.
