National Security Act or National Security Act is the law, which gives special power to the state and central government, under which it can arrest any suspected citizen or foreign national in special circumstances . Under this act, if the government feels that a person is obstructing the rule of law in the country, then the government can order his arrest. This act 1980 was made during the reign of Indira Gandhi. The arrest under this act is done for the first three months and after that it can be extended as per the requirement.
