Joint searches were conducted with the Haryana Police at the premises of Chhotu Bhat of Chautala village and Jagga Sarpanch of Takhtmal village – both in Sirsa, on Tuesday and Wednesday night. During the search, four illegal weapons (one rifle, one gun, two pistols), more than a hundred rounds of ammunition of different calibres, several empty and fired cartridges and sharp edged weapons have been seized, the NIA said. The current searches were aimed at busting illegal arms support infrastructure besides hideouts of fugitives of terrorist-criminal syndicate headed by Bambiha. They were taking advantage of the border of their hideout with Punjab.
