The Eastern Nagaland People's Organization (ENPO) is demanding a separate state called Frontier Nagaland consisting of six districts Mon, Tuensang, Longleng, Kiphire, Shamator and Noklak. The organization had initially given a call to boycott the elections due to non-fulfillment of their demands. He withdrew his call following an appeal by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). In a statement, the ENPO also urged all residents to cooperate with the government during the elections and not create any law and order problems. Shah praised the decision of ENPO and said that it shows the trust in the Narendra Modi government at the Center. seats come in the ENPO constituency. Voting for the 60 member assembly of Nagaland will be held on 27 February while the counting of votes will take place on March 2. (with language input)
