On investigation, the police have recovered the lower parts of Saravati’s body from the flat, whereas, the accused had already made the upper parts of the body disappear. According to the information that came to light, the accused 58 were cut into pieces.

On the basis of preliminary investigation, police sources told that perhaps this murder was carried out two to three days back. Stating further, the sources said that 58 year old Manoj Sahni Saraswati was in a live in relationship with 32 years old . Both of them lived in the Akashdeep building of Geeta Nagar located on Mira Road. On asking the people living nearby, it was found that both of them were living here together for almost three years. Police arrested Manoj Sahni from the spot. Talking on the incident, Deputy Police Commissioner Jayant Bajwale said that we have taken the accused Manoj into custody. Explaining further, he said that at present it is being ascertained why he did this and how this massacre took place. Explaining further, he said that we suspect that the accused Manoj killed his partner and cut her body into pieces and then started disposing of those pieces. He did this so that no one could know about it. Another police official told that many pieces of Saraswati’s body are still missing.
