In the temple of Lord Shankar built near the girls’ hostel of Madiado under Hata block of the district, anti-social elements pelted stones at the Shivling and broke it on Sunday night. When the villagers reached the temple in the morning, they found the Shivling broken, after which the police were informed. At the same time, a large number of villagers gathered on the spot. On the other hand, in view of the incident, the police have reached the spot in large numbers. In this incident, the idol of Sheshnag and Nandi wrapped around the Shivling pindi was broken. Sewaram Namdev, who built the temple, told that when he reached the temple in the morning, a stone was lying near the Shivling and the idols of Nandi and Sheshnag were found broken. After the information, Madiado police reached the spot and started investigating the incident. There is resentment among the villagers after this incident. Let us inform that even two and a half years ago, an attempt has been made to break the Shivling at this place.
