The relatives of the deceased alleged that the driver of the ambulance of the government hospital had returned the relatives due to non-availability of diesel. According to the relatives, they were told that there is no diesel, only if you bring diesel, they will be able to take the patient to the district hospital. In such a situation, the relatives arranged for a private vehicle and reached the district hospital with the patient, but by then the patient had died. BMO has termed the allegations as baseless.
According to information, Kamlesh Prajapati of Imlani village under Harsud police station area of Khandwa had attempted suicide on Monday morning. Kamlesh’s relatives told that he was in depression due to the debt of group loan and bike loan and due to this he tried to commit suicide by drinking poisonous substance in the morning. After this, the family took him to Harsud’s health center. From there he was referred to the district hospital. Relative Rahul Prajapati told that when he asked the ambulance driver to take the patient, the ambulance driver of the health center asked him to bring diesel first.
‘Would have taken care of the patient or gone to get diesel’
Relative Rahul alleged that he was the only attendant with the patient, in such a situation he would take care of the patient or bring diesel as per the driver’s request.
