The deceased constable was posted in 9th Battalion Rewa. For what reasons the SAF constable committed suicide, it is not yet clear. The Maihar police has started investigation into the cause of the suicide by establishing a probe. The constable who committed suicide was married three months back in December. The constable was posted in SAF about three years ago. According to information received from Maihar police, Ajay Kumar Prajapati father Shivlal Prajapati (11) 9th Battalion of SAF (Armed Police Force) was posted as constable in Rewa. The duty of Constable Ajay’s company was engaged in Chaitra Navratri fair in Maihar. He had come to Maihar with the company a day before the start of the Navratri fair. Constable Ajay talking on mobile phone after having dinner around 12:00 pm on Sunday night. The passenger left the residence but did not return. Colleagues started looking for Ajay, but could not find anything. The driver of Kamayani Express informed the station master of Maihar railway station that at 3:22 Maihar One km ahead of the station, at Uchehra end, the uniformed man suddenly jumped in front of the moving train. Got hit by a train. The station manager of Maihar railway station informed the Maihar police about the incident. Apart from Maihar Police, officers and personnel of 9th Battalion of SAF rushed to the spot. Constable Ajay’s dead body was lying on the rail track in a mutilated condition.
