Central Jail Bhopal. – Photo: ANI Expansion In case of death of prisoners in jail in Madhya Pradesh, now the family members will be given compensation amount. In case of death of a prisoner in jail, a compensation amount of up to five lakh rupees will be given. On the basis of the post mortem report, it will be ensured to give legal heirs of Rashi Bandhi within one month of acceptance from the headquarters. In this regard, orders have been issued by the Jail Department. According to this, death due to mutual quarrel between prisoners, death due to increasing harassment/negligence/indifference by jail staff, death during treatment due to negligence of medical officers/paramedical staff and being distressed by jail administration harassment of prisoner. Compensation of Rs 5 lakh will be given for suicide and death due to force majeure/accident and natural calamity or calamity while in jail. On committing suicide Will also get compensation
Apart from this, compensation of two lakh rupees will be given if the prisoner commits suicide due to his own guilt or due to other personal reasons. out of jail Death is not compensation

750 Compensation amount will not be given in case of death due to incident/accident while escaping from jail, escaping from police custody or being out during parole. ,
