दोनों ही शहरों में मेट्रों का संचालन थर्ड रेल टेक्नोलॉजी पर आधारित होगी। बिजली की आपर्ति पटरियों के समांनातर पटरी से होगी। मेंट्रो में अत्याधुनिक टेलीकम्यूनिकेशन सिस्टम के अंतर्गत ईमरजेंसी हेल्प पॉइंट सिस्टम, पब्लिक एड्रेस सिस्टम, पैसेंजर इनफॉर्मेंश सिस्टम, वॉयस रिकॉर्डिंग सिस्टम, सीसीटीवी आदि की सुविधा होगी।

पहले फेज का संचालन का लक्ष्य दिसंबर 2026
पहले फेज में भोपाल में 30.95 किमी और इंदौर में 31.46 किमी में मेट्रो का संचालन होगा। अभी प्राथमिकता कॉरीडोर में मेट्रो का संचालन किया जाएगा। पहले फेज में मेट्रो का संचालन का लक्ष्य दिसंबर 2026 तक रखा गया है।
